About CT Healthy Family Connections

Hi, I’m Jenn — a Connecticut mom, a Baptist Christian, and someone who is constantly figuring out how to raise four healthy, connected, faith-centered boys in the middle of a beautifully chaotic life.

My husband and I are homeschooling our four sons — ages 6, 10, 12, and 15 — in Litchfield County, Connecticut. We chose to homeschool because we wanted to be intentional about how our boys grow up — what they learn, how they spend their time, and what values shape them. It’s the best decision we’ve ever made. It’s also the hardest thing I’ve ever done. Both things are true at the same time.

I started CT Healthy Family Connections because I kept having the same conversations with other moms — about screen time, about anxiety, about how to stay connected as a couple when the kids take everything you have, about how to build routines that actually hold when life gets hard. These conversations were happening in parking lots after co-op and in text threads at 10pm. I thought they deserved a real home.

This blog is about family wellness in the fullest sense — physical health, mental and emotional wellbeing, intentional parenting, marriage, faith, and the daily rhythms that hold a family together. I write from experience, not from a textbook. Some weeks we get it right. Some weeks we don’t. I share both.

My faith is the foundation of everything here. I believe that God designed families to be places of safety, growth, and deep connection — and that building that kind of family requires intention, prayer, and a willingness to keep showing up even when it’s hard. You’ll find that woven naturally through everything I write, because it’s woven naturally through everything we live.

I’m not a therapist or a pediatrician. I’m a mom who reads widely, asks a lot of questions, and has learned hard lessons through years of raising four very different boys. When I share something here, it’s because it’s made a real difference in our family — and I think it might make a difference in yours too.

Welcome to CT Healthy Family Connections. I’m glad you’re here.
